Been through the entire game and I still don't understand how "water" is supposed to factor into crafting. I can't just stand in a river or lake and craft, because an item needs to go into a box. The Classic version of the game is in the 'Classic' and 'Data' folders in '..\SteamApps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2'. The launcher ('bin' folder) would also be unnecessary if only playing the DE. While the DE wouldn't be affected directly without these folders, with any updates Steam would want to redownload any missing data.
Go to Desktop mode and run the game. When the .NET core warning pops, hit Yes and it will take you to the site where you download it. It will probably download automatically, in any case you will have the .exe in the Downloads folder in Dolphin. Run it and let it install. This will create a folder in Steam's compatdata folder (.local/share
Basically steam either hasn't downloaded it, or the game itself hasn't copied the mod out of the download folder. If you're up for some manual looking into it, check the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods' folder to see if the pak file is there.
The easiest two ways to troubleshoot this: - Simply launch the game directly (by using the game exe instead of the launcher exe to start) instead of the launcher. If the issue was with the launcher alone, that circumvents not only the issue but also the completely superflous launcher. - Completely uninstall and reinstall the game.
The reason it doesn't work is apparently that the game itself with Definitive Edition, adds some form of this into the base game. Even the Gift Bag doesn't work with coop (exact same as this mod actually). What I did was using LeaderLibs mod config menu, and enable the Spirit Vision Toggle in the game mod option menu that it gives.
